I hired out!

Yep, I didn’t want to stress over these. I still had a million ideas of my own but didn’t get to all of them and some of them he was just too big…isn’t that sad because he still so tiny.

My friend Skye took these for me and I want to thank her a million times for relieving me from my stress levels going way up and not mention I LOVE them!

He seriously was so good for the photos and I worried the whole morning that he would be a pill but not so. He was PERFECT!

Isn’t this hat the cutest ever! And it fits so perfectly.

Oh my…A baby!

WOW! is all I can say.

We welcomed this little baby boy of ours on August 1st, 3 weeks ago, and we call him Beckam he was 8lbs 19.5 inches…the labor was 3 hrs and 20 mins and everyone in the room (it wasn’t like I was having a party it was just the Doc, nurse, Greg and Angie…photos!) said “I made the delivery look easy” and its only because I had an epidural of course.

We just can’t get enough of this little one…especially at night! I feel that I have completely forgotten how to do all of this. It’s like its my first baby. I am a little crazed right now trying to figure all of this out but at the same time enjoying so much of him and my family.

Here are some photos to share with you.

Angie took the delivery ones…thanks again I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

I understand

Because it’s me in front of the camera. It was a little…well, I just didn’t like it very much. I have a complex about seeing myself on film but I do it so that my children can remember me at anytime not just in high school or when I got married…all the after I’ve had children and even the pregnant times. I do have to say it was hard and I really feel for my clients.

I love the photos THANK YOU so much Stephanie for taking them for me. Just gotta swallow my pride and get past the issues and know that my kids will love seeing me…at least I think they will.

FYI: I am due August 7th and I plan, though the doctor doesn’t know this yet, on being induced a week early. I will not be taking any more sessions until October maybe longer I just don’t know how this having 5 children will be for me (just know I will be taking care of those that are scheduled don’t worry about that). So, if your wanting the fall family sessions contact me to get scheduled or if I fill up I will give you some referrals.

Peace Out!!!!

Money Pit

Gotta write it down while the frustration is FRESH in my mind. But also know that I am really writing this with a smile…cuz it is kinda funny!

So 3 years ago we buy a house to remodel thinking this will be FUN!!!! And it is - when you see the progress. But in those 3 years you don’t plan on the economy taking a dive and then property value goes down and the best part is the husband has been out of work for a year (as in steady income)…as of 2 days ago he now has a steady income that I can be happy with.
At this point we have come along way on the remodel mostly focusing on the inside and I am loving how it has turned out. But while we are REPLACING we also FIXING and by now it’s getting OLD and I’m a little tired.
Today I am walking into my kitchen and I see that the floor is wet in the basement and so I decide to take a better look at it and come to find out it’s flooding…I want to SCREAM and then CRY I can’t keep up…then the smile appears on my face, thinking back to a few days ago when I told my kids that our house could burn down and I would be fine with it (they were appalled that I would say such a thing) but just as long as my family and my photos could get out safely.
So, I sit here typing while I have 3 rooms in my basement completely wet and I really don’t care. I think it would be awesome if the flood technician says that the carpet is no good and you should replace it…wouldn’t that be COOL!
At this point I pretty much think this house is not worth the fight. It’s dying as fast as we are fixing it.
But HEY give me a few days and I will be right back into what else can I do to make it better.

Here is a look at the house. The curb appeal is gone but it has potential - right! That’s what we thought buying it few years ago.
It could use a new exterior, & windows, I wanted to add some posts to the exterior. Then the landscape now that’s another friggin’ story…is there anyone who wants to do trade?!? If I could get rid of those darn weeds…they haunt me everyday. Here is some advice to any out there buying a home - flower beds are not cool they are too much work so don’t have them - it will save time weeding.

He’s turning 11

I love this guy more than I can express. He is so good to me. I can ask him to help me in any way and he will do it. He really will!
He has a BIG HEART is very persistent and is a little engineer in the making. I knew it would be tough to get him away from his friends to do is 11 year old shots but when I found out his buddy Calvin was gone I jumped a the chance and he was willing too.
I think we were only out for about 30 minutes and we were both done. Physically my body can’t move. It’s beginning to be a little depressing it’s like I am having prepartum depression but I wont go into those details that stuff is boring.

This one is my favorite but I’m just not digging the clothing he needed something else on but I ran with it anyways. It’s kind of how I do things…lazy!

My girl

I have had some spare time…sigh! It’s been wonderful. I have 2 rooms to get painted and then we’ve go to lay wood floor in one of them to move the hubby into an office and then we can get the babies room decorated. This is my first time being able to decorate or have a nursery. I almost don’t know what to do with myself and I don’t even know where to start. I do know the pictures I want but that’s about all.

So since I have had spare time I have been able to get some photos of the kids. It’s what I love to do. It really brings me great joy. When I look back at the photos I have taken from the start of our family there have been a lot of things that I am reminded of with my children. I am beyond grateful that I have a talent/love for this because I know I would forget. I have forgotten a lot of my own childhood. Really it’s all priceless. My husband teases me that if we had a house fire that my photos, albums, and hard drives would be the first thing I would grab.

Impromptu shoot with little Ike

Yeah, I decided around 10 to get ready it took me about an hour and then we didn’t get to shooting around noon (so the possibly the worst time of day to shoot). I searched for a tire swing and I think I found one or what remained of one so, I bagged that idea and stopped at the first place I could find.

The bribes that came out of this was that we had to go to Walmart and get a flashlight and some M&M’s…fine by me. I think next time he is cashing in on a spider man scooter.

My top favorites from this little guy.

My new neighbor

He has officially moved in next door. I mean I can’t blame him he has his own freedom (no cages) the land is large enough he could hide anywhere and the owner of this land is old enough he probably has no idea…most likely can’t even hear him at FRIGGIN’ 5 in the morning. We are going to be TIGHT like best friends I can feel it. Gabe did suggest yesterday that he could shoot him with his air soft and I told him absolutely NOT (you know how boys are) but I may have to rethink that since I have been up since the break of dawn.
It all started on Saturday he was wandering my yard free as a bird with his head up high. I asked around to those who may be missing a rooster and no such luck (It sound like I live on a farmville….maybe a little). I thought maybe all the cats that we have wandering around would try and have a yummy dinner…nope no such luck. He is still here LOUD and CLEAR. I’ve gotten used to all the other noises of my small town neighborhood the horses banging their heads on the fences and the cows screaming, okay mooing, at night when they take the babies away from them oh, and the smell is really special to me too. You’d be surprised that I get any sleep at all.

Introducing my new neighbor. Yep, I was outside taking pictures at 7:45 this morning. Here I think we had a moment considering we could be friends then he walked away and started crowing…whatever it is they do.

The yard…well as much as I could with my 70-200 on. It is a great spot for a location.

I have horses on both sides of me. We’ve had to capture these guys a few times from getting out.
Here’s the story from the last episode from my other neighbor’s horses.
I’m driving to pre-school and I see them out feeding on the grass and I didn’t think much about it but in my head new it wasn’t right so, I stopped my car and at the same time another neighbor stopped. We had 5 girls trying to get these horses back in their stalls only 2 of us dared to do anything, Holly sitting in her comfortable car directing traffic around us…he he, while Sara and I do the work (Sara knows horses). In the end they were safe and sound in their stalls I’m sure it was funny to watch for all those that drove past…picture a pregnant lady chasing after a horse in the middle of the road. It’s a good thing her Clydesdale wasn’t out that thing is huge. Lately, I’ve been thinking I may need to take some lessons on horses.

Me so pregnant!

I am now 23 weeks and counting. I don’t look like I should be counting but I feel like I am 9 months.

The Pros and Cons of being pregnant.
Starting with the Pros
I get to feel this life inside me…the kicks and hiccups all the good stuff.
I’m due first of August and that may sound bad but not so much to me. I can wear flip flops ALL the time because I can’t so much bend over to tie my shoes.
The baby will get to be born in WARM weather
I can go out with a newborn in the summer
I will have a birthday to celebrate every month of the summer
Good time for PHOTOS
The kids will be around to help and then off to school
I am 5 months and people tell me all the time that I don’t even LOOK pregnant but I can still sleep on my stomach
I don’t get morning sickness

The Cons
I feel like I am 9 months pregnant. I already waddle. It’s true. Maybe I just do it in my home and don’t let anyone else see it but I do.
I am 5 months and people tell me all the time that I don’t even LOOK pregnant but I FEEL pregnant and I look fat.
I think because I don’t show the baby is so inside me that he separates my hips to make for some major back and hip pain. Yesterday I only cleaned the toy room, on my knees so that I wouldn’t have to bend over, and helped the kids with their rooms. I was out for the day and today too. Oh yeah, I did some extended family photos too.
I feel too old for this.
I can’t play soccer anymore…boo hoo! No, really this was big for me. But I get to watch everyone else in my family play!
I feel very ugly. It’s the truth. I don’t want pitty. It’s just how I feel. So, I have made my husband take my picture so that I can see the pretty. It kind of works.

Here I am 23 weeks and counting.
My sister-in-law took this for me today. The background bugs me but I didn’t want to go outside any further because it’s just too cold.
