Hawaii here we come.

Today’s game revealed the winners that move on to regionals in Hawaii. That’s us. Celtic Storm! U12 was drawn the wild card so they take 2 teams to the playoffs. We still have our game next Saturday to determine first and second but as for now I am finding every avenue to pay for this wonderful dream, along with Bryn’s help :) We are still in need of filling more spots on the mini sessions for June 1st and 8th times that are still open are. I have the exact same times open on both days. 4:00, 5:30, & 7:00. At this time we need to raise about $5000. These mini sessions will get $2000 if I fill them all up. If you don’t want a mini you can book a regular session. Or you can just donate money to us I’ll take it.

Now you could be asking why didn’t we do fundraising or saving up until now. Well, let me answer that question for ya. We had to be first place to even go. In the regular season our biggest competitor is Sparta and in the fall we won them 4-0 but in the spring we lost 1-0 …tight game. We just didn’t know for sure. Okay, but you still could have saved. Your right, but times are tough and it has hit us pretty hard right now. We just haven’t been able to save…your getting the honest Jess :) and that’s what I’m about. Please, please book your session!!!!! You will not regret it.

***I will be in Hawaii June 15-24th so I won’t have openings for those dates.

Fundraiser Mini Sessions

Okay, here it is. My daughter Bryn plays on the Cletic Storm Primier soccer team. They have an opportunity to go to the Region Championship in Hawaii in June. We don’t know of this surety until the play in the State Cup finals in the next couple weeks. If they win 1st they would be off to Hawaii in 3 short weeks after the state playoffs. So, here we are planning ahead. To be WINNERS! I’m going to offer mini sessions to help aide in the cost of her dream. Let’s make this a reality for her and book them up. Tell everyone you know. Tell those who haven’t had there family photos done…ever! Yes I know a family that has done that…still working on them to get it down. Or for those who haven’t had them done in 5 yrs, you know its time for an update. And to those who think they are too fat read this article.  I am offering these sessions priced at $250 for 30 min 15-20 images. This price is a WIN/WIN situation here. Its priced for those who don’t have the money for my custom session priced at $450. So, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain  :)   like for instance an awesome family photo to hang on your mantel for all the world to see. See how much you gain!

Bryn has put a lot of time, hard work and dedication as well as the team to be where they are. Up until last night they have won all of there games 5-0 but unfortunately they took a sad lose yesterday to make 5-1

Let’s make this a reality and help her to her goal. If, however they don’t win state cup, the funds will go to her next soccer tournament in Washington in July.

Details:

30 min session (this session here, this session is a good idea of what you can get is 30 min yes, one was 45 min but a very close idea)

This is perfect for family, seniors, or just your children. ***Families up to 6…let me know if you have 7 or 8 in your family. I would need more time to shoot and edit. $25 more per extra person. Excludes any extended family sessions.

15-20 images edited of your choose (I will put them on an online gallery) there is an option to have more purchased and edited.

Location: We will be at Star Mill in American Fork. Daniel has offered to waive the of $40 per client fee to a one time fee of $40 so that I can put more money towards her fund. A big thank you Daniel!!!! He saved us $480!

Dates: Saturday June 1st and 8th (I need to fill both days but if I have 4 on one day and 2 on the other I will combine them to one day)

Times: starting at 3:15 (questionable I will need to look at the light but I did this session at that time) 4:00, 4:45, 5:30,  6:15, 7:00 ***the fee is due at the time of booking.

My goal is to do 6 sessions a day. Please help me fill them…tell everyone…facebook it, tweet it whatever you can do put it out there.

Here are a few sessions done here at the infamous Star Mill

Extended Family

Miss North Utah County

Sierra

Bentley Family

***Please note that these are MINI SESSIONS which means the sessions are considerably shorter than a regular photo session.  It means that I will have less time to get my shots so please plan accordingly.  Mini sessions are not always best for everyone.  If you feel like your family takes a bit of time to warm up to the camera, or you have small children that could be “difficult” you may want to schedule a regular session, which I am willing to do as well.

Fall Season Schedule

Hello all my fine friends. I just want to say how much I enjoy ALL of my clients. I truly have so much fun with everyone and the best part is I make new friends with every session.

Like, for instance, tonight after my session was done I got a hug from my client and she says to me “It feels like we’re family.” I’d have to agree that’s how I feel when I’m done with all of my sessions.

Here’s some news for this coming fall. I hesitate to put this out there because there is this weird affect when I say I’m booked then I will get a flood of emails asking to be put on the schedule.

I do need to say it now.

I will book up fast please, please, please think about scheduling SOON or better yet NOW!

I have 2 families booked in September and 1 in October and plan to only book 4 each month.

I have planter fasciitis and though my husband and my kids may think I’m a baby but I really can’t do much at this time until I slow down to heal it. I mean, I even quit playing indoor soccer, that was painful enough to say no but it had to be done so I can heal. At this time the healing process is taking a long time because I do WAY TO MUCH. I can’t stop its just in my blood. But I’m in constant pain with my feet. I’ve meet so many people that “USED” to have it and I can’t wait to be in the category of the “used” to have its as well. There it is please think ahead.

A post isn’t a post without a photo.

Alena | High School Senior Photography

Hello my High School Senior friends. I would like to talk to you about your Senior photos for 2013. Many people ask me when is the best time to get their Senior photos taken and I suggest to them to do it the summer before school starts and the typical response is

“Why? I’m not a Senior yet”

From experience most people want them done in the spring before they graduate and while that’s great…and I’m sure I can fit you in but the weather is CRAZY. This last spring I had to reschedule one girl 4 times before we had a good weather day…it was cutting it close to send out her Grad Announcements…which I made. Did you know you can order them from me. I think mine are cooler :)

You’ll be getting your yearbook photo taken this summer and they’ll take a few other shots but guess what you don’t have to buy them they’re not your only option.

You have Photography By Jess as an option and let me tell you I’m a cool option. I know how to make you look good and you’ll love showing your photos to friends and family. Plus, you’ll feel like a model for a day!

With that being said I’m offering Summer Senior Sessions for the rest of the summer.

If your session is booked and shot by the end of August you will get %50 off of the session fee ($150 session fee)

***note: at the time of booking you will pay the discounted rate to hold your date***

Here’s a typical session that you can look forward to having.

Check out some of the other fun sessions I’ve photographed.

The boys first David, Trevan, Braden, and then the girls Shelbie, Kaylie, Deni, Senior Friends, Emily, Maddie, Tarryn, Allyse, Abby, Courtney, Brooke, Amberlyn, Cydnee, Rachelle, Tara, Maddie, Cami, Ally, Abby, Elise, Hippie Girls, I have to add this senior I did in 2008, Zac. I still love this session.

I put a lot of links here for you to glance at and what I want you to notice is that they are all different.

When you book with me you will get a unique experience. That’s all your own!

Here are what the cards would look like.

This is what Jeanna (Mom of the Senior) said about the cards “By the way…everyone loved them! I had so many calls on how cute they were :)

My husband has created this online workshop for photographers and if your anything like me I’ve never really loved the business side of my photography business as much as I’ve loved the photography. Marketing, pricing, efficiency – not my favorite but it is SO important for me to stay in love with my photography business. My husband put together a free online workshop for us photographers to help us out.
