Caitlin & Brinton | Utah Photographer

I love going on a photo shoot with my friends. It was especially crazy with these two Angie and Sara. I was pretty much the quiet one except for when it was time to laugh…which was the whole time. I really sat back and watched these 2 go crazy with ideas and posing it was all too much fun and I think Brinton would surely agree.

BIG post ahead I just couldn’t choose.

One Fine Wedding | Utah Photographer

Lynette I know you have been waiting patiently to see some photos of the night…well, I have been dying to put them on here. Enjoy!

I like this series…the kiss.

saying something to make them laugh. I can’t help it. I love the romantic shots but I ruin it by making fun of it a little. But HEY, I like both shots here.

Bryn | Utah Child Photographer

My how time flies. It happened 6 months after she was born I got my first film SLR camera it was a Canon EOS rebel …LOVED it. I have always loved to take photographs, it started in high school, I had a relationship with my point and shoot it went everywhere with me…it was like cell phones these days. I even had a photography class back in the day and failed it…it was my only “F” I ever got. To this day I still have no idea why I got the “F” I like to think it was because I didn’t have an SLR to shoot with.
Back to when I got my first SLR I had signed up for a class at the college and didn’t have my camera yet so my smart “nerd” husband did his research and got me the Canon Rebel. I started out my community class to understand how the thing should work and I would practice all the time by writing down my settings and then developing the film to see what I got. Then technology caught up and here we are now with the digital SLR that everyone can buy and become a professional photographer even if that means your own business or just for your own personal family photos.

Now it’s too bad I’m not gonna spend the time to scan the very first photos I took of Miss Bryn but I will show you what I got a few weeks back.

Rock Canyon rock climbing | Utah photographer

This weekend was a blast…busy but fun! We basically went back to our roots ROCK CLIMBING and BYU.

Greg proposed to me while I was climbing a 10a (the climbs are ranked on difficulty and at this time I had only climbed a 5.8 and a 5.9 the next level is a 10a then it goes to b,c,d, on up to a 14 which is like climbing glass with a few notches). There I was being all cocky that I could do a 10a easy as pie…right! Well, not so much I couldn’t get past the first overhang…kinda funny. Let me skip back…Greg did the lead climb to get the rope up there so I could start my climb but while he did that he had set my wedding ring in a hole at the top…I didn’t even know he had a ring for me…I had know idea he was proposing.
Anyways on my climb I finally got past the overhang it was smooth sailing after that until I realize how high it was. I was done…but Greg belaying me would not let me down. My friends had to chime in…it didn’t help much. He encouraged me that I was almost done and that I can’t give up now I’ve got to finish what I’ve started. He knew exactly what to say…I am a little competitive and so I moved forward and made it to the top. His friend Paul was telling me to stay there for a photo and put my hands in certain holds…let’s say it took me a little bit to find the black box. And the rest is history. We have always said that we would love to take our kids rock climbing…we haven’t done it very much…gonna have to change that. After that fun story are some photos of us.

Do you like Elyse giving it a try with a broken arm, a skirt and boots

I love the colors and light here.

This was Isaac’s pose. He said “Mom, take my picture” music to my ears.

I had to take this photo opportunity when it presents itself

Elise and Tom
I just wanted to share with you some of my favorites from the session. I had a fun time trying out some new spots thanks for being up for it…and Tom you take a great photo for not having any done professionally job well done to the both of you. Oh, and Tom love your English accent if you guys want me to come to England to get some shots there I would do it in a heart beat. Ya know that gives me an idea since my hubby is no longer employed we should just move there and start a new life with the fam.

Okay, so there are a few sun flare but I like them.

Troy & Leslie Wedding

Thanks everyone for your nice comments about Gabe. I think next year will be better.

Well, my computer is working now. YEAH! I can get back to work.

Here is a wedding I did a week ago. I don’t shoot weddings very often…it’s not that I can’t I just don’t advertise for them.
This on was right smack in the middle of the day…it was bright, sunny and HOT and short on time…with all that I managed to get some great shots.

My cute nephew…he was mad the whole time because he had to wear a tie. It’s kinda funny to me.
